Acrylic paint is made of pigment suspended in polymer resin. It is thinned and cleaned up with water and when the water has evaporated it dries waterproof. When used thickly it can resemble oil paint, when used in a fluid manner it can resemble watercolour. It allows many techniques that are unique to it thanks to its fast-drying properties and because it can adhere to many surfaces. Watercolour painting is a technique that uses pigments suspended in a water-based solution. The transparent nature of watercolour allows for subtle layering and blending of colours, creating delicate and ethereal effects. It's often used to create landscapes, portraits, and still-life paintings. Watercolour paintings are known for their luminous quality and the way the light shines through the layers of paint. Chalk pastels are a versatile medium used in art for creating vibrant and expressive works. The texture of chalk pastels is soft and powdery, similar to chalk, but they have a richer pigment and are more blendable. They come in a wide range of colors, from subtle earth tones to bold, intense hues, offering artists plenty of options for creating depth and contrast in their work. Chalk pastels are prized for their vibrant colors, soft texture, and versatility, making them a popular choice among artists for creating everything from quick sketches to detailed and expressive masterpieces.
